5 Principals

It’s a time in where different things are happening in the world. That’s why I decided to share with you the 5 principles of Reiki Healing. I believe we have forgotten about these principles that for me, are not only for Reiki but, for everybody that needs to remember it to have a better day. So, start to meditate about them these days, and you can see and feel the changes in your life.   Just for today I will not worry I will not be angry I will do my work honestly I will give thanks for my many blessings I will be kind with my neighbour and all the living things

Healhy Eating? or is it more than that?

I realized that everybody is talking about eating healthy right now. But what really is eating healthy? Is it by changing my food habits, or become vegetarian or what? Well, for a long time I have been doing meditation and trying to do whatever it take to have a healthy life. But, for a long time in my meditation I would hear vegetarian diet, vegetarian diet, and vegetarian diet. And I think, alright, what does a vegetarian diet mean? Do you stop eating meat for good or what? I know I am overweight, and I know that its because of my medication, however I never realize that everything I used in my house can be affecting me as well.   It was not only my medication, but also the products that make my food, the detergent I use to wash my clothing, the soap I use to take a shower, the deodorant, the makeup,   the creams, and on and on. What I can do to have a healthy life? Watch carefully what I buy for my house; take conscience of the products and what they contain inside. If

Chickpea Tikka Masala

Chickpea Tikka Masala Serves 4-6         Ingredients 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 large onion finely chopped 2 garlic cloves minced 1 sweet bell pepper finely chopped in squares 3 inch piece of ginger finely chopped ½ cup Cherrie tomatoes cut in half 1 cup chickpeas 1 cup coconut milk 1 cup mix vegetable (corn, carrots, assorted peas and lima beans) ½ cup of celery chopped Fresh chopped cilantro Fresh chopped parsley 2 tablespoon Tikka Masala 2 tablespoon ground cumin 2 tablespoon ground coriander 2 tablespoons paprika 1 tablespoon turmeric ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon arrowroot or cornstarch Sea Salt to taste   Preparation: In a casserole sauté in olive oil the onions, add the garlic, the sweet belt pepper, the cherry tomatoes and ginger. When ready add the coconut milk, the chickpeas, mixed vegetables, celery, Tikka Masala sauce, and mix all together. Finally add the arrowroot or cornstarch

Yesterday was the first day Frank does not work on a Sunday anymore, slowly but surely the days he work will decrease! So then we enjoyed it by going as a family to Bragg Creek!! Every Sunday from now on, we will go to different places and enjoy the outdoors no matter the weather!

Baby Boomer

When you are a baby boomer like us, you start to look what your best options in life will be to get a good retirement. My husband Frank and I realize this last month that he was working seven days a week to put money away for retirement and we forget about the family and our time together, that damaged our relationship a lot. In January last year we take the decision to sell the big house that we have, and for August we bought our condo. To tell the truth, we realize all the unnecessary money that we were spending in the house was $400 a month  we were now able to save, and we can finally have our weekends to spend in what ever place we want. When we were talking with some friends in our age, and we saw that many of them go to retirement and all the savings that they have, are going away faster than they expect. We decide that we need to start looking at other options. We have savings too, but everybody knows that at our age our health start to deteriorate. Frank had an detach retina
